TENBY AND DISTRICT CAMERA CLUB The club meeting on Thursday 12th September was the first night of showing prints and images taken by members who attended the summer workshops and also the first mini-competition to be held this autumn with the theme being ‘Summer’, 83 digital entries were submitted and judged by the club members. The winning image was ‘Tenby Spectacular’ and the winning photographer Paul Deverson. In 2nd Place and joint 2nd was Gary Jenkins with both of his entries ‘Osprey’ and ‘Parlock Wier’, 4th was Paul Richards and 5th Dave Bolton. Following the judging and a coffee break Ray Hines explained to the 44 members who attended the club night, on the success of the summer workshop – 20 prints were on display and 90 digital images, showing the creativity and experience gained from the workshops. The chairman thanked Ray Hines and Doug Williams for their time and effort putting on this new event in the clubs diary, and went on to say that with these workshops and outings it allows the photographer to not only take the pictures but to enjoy the social side as well. Members submitted prints and digital images for the first open external competition, this to be judged on Thursday 3rd October. 26th September club chairman Roy Packer, giving a talk on ‘Lightroom 5’ and Silver FX Pro – black and white conversion.
